[edit] Getting There

Highway 10 from the North: Take Hwy 10 into St. Cloud, take a right at the lights on 15th Ave SE (by Culvers). Follow 15th over the tracks and go straight at the 4 way stop. As you come up a small hill the trail will be in the woods on your left. Just past the top of the hill, at the edge of the open field on the left, will be a sign "North Loop". The single track starts just behind the sign to the left. You can park on the street (15th Ave).

*If you're traveling to St. Cloud from the Twin Cities via Interstate 94, I recommend taking Hwy 24 East at Clearwater and then taking Hwy 10 North towards St Cloud. This will save you a trip through town! Then follow the directions below.

Highway 10 from the South: Take Hwy 10 towards St. Cloud, take a left on Minnesota Blvd which is the corner where the Penitentiary resides (aka big granite wall). Follow Minnesota Blvd until the 4 way stop and take a right. The trail head is on your right at the edge of the small field where the trees start. Look for the "North Loop" sign. The singletrack starts behind it to the left. You can park on 15th Ave.

Tight single track, mostly flat with a few short steep climbs, switchbacks, rock gardens, log crossings, and swamp bridges. One way trail, keep off the Ski trails!
