* Individuals on this list have verified 25-25-25 requirements. If you have
recorded
at least 25 hours of volunteer work and meet the other 2
requirements, please
contact us to have your name included on this list.
(Please be sure to include your IMBA and MORC membership
numbers.)
What
is the 25-25-25 club?
The
International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA) has a
20-20-20 vision for the future of mountain biking that
involves each and every off-road cyclist. We are taking
this and applying it to MORC and the many individuals out
there that continue to support the sport of Mountain Biking in
our area.
- The first 25 is $25 to
join your local mountain
bike organization (that's us!), because all mountain
bikers need to be involved in their local trail community.
- The second 25 is $25 to
join IMBA
and become
part of mountain biking's indispensable national and
international movement.
- The final 25 is 25 hours
per year – maybe three volunteer days that can be
spent on trail maintenance, attending
public
hearings, helping out with the web site, or perhaps
contributing to the production of a MORC newsletter.
(of course you don't have to stop at 25... many on the list
do hundreds of hours per year..)
Note that the 25 donation is just a
minimum guide. There are many individuals that donate
much more than 25 of each category. In fact, there are
many MORC board members that donate more than 500 hours of
service each year! Although 25-25-25 is a good
guideline, the more each one of you can contribute in each
area the better.
Mountain biking on public
land is a privilege. It's a wonderful activity that is
sustainable only if each and every one of us who enjoys the
sport gives something back.
I
qualify, why am I not listed?
Please
contact us
if you feel you qualify. We make no assumptions about
who qualifies (even if you are a MORC Board Member) so only
via notification will your name be on this list.
