Night Racing at Hillside - Friday Nights!

The Night Races are back at Hillside Park in Elk River!

The series is called "Moonlight Fridays at Hillside".

This will be a three-race series starting Friday, September 18th.
Registration starts at 6:00pm
Race starts at 7:30
$10 entry fee
Awardss for the top 3 in each class
Classes are: Women, Recreational Men, and Advanced Men
Random drawing for SWAG from Ramsey Bicycles
We will have a bonfire every night
Bring your bike & your lights and prepare for some good times!
Feel free to hang out around the fire after the races... it's Friday night!
You'll need to provide your own lights, no minimum requirements, and no tail light required. Be as brave as you want. You're the one riding...
If you don't have lights, but would like to give this a try, call up Ramsey Bicycles and see if they can hook you up.

bonus time for those of us lugging trolling motor batteries for our lights? any nearby camping available?

5 minute bonus for riding with an actual trolling motor battery.

Last week didn't feel right without a Thursday/Friday night race. My wife kept asking why I wasn't going the race. A week without a race feels like winter.

I also missed Eddy. A week without Eddy is like a week without sunshine.

Fear not Brian, Eddie plans to be there for you...

Oh yeah, Eddie requested that you stop trying to give him mouth-to-mouth after the race. That's not what he meant when he said he was out of breath.

Well... that's taking things a little too far. Eddy and I have more of a Carl/Lenny relationship, but without the icky connotations. I'm Lenny.

Lenny's vices include alcohol (specifically Duff Beer, which he is often seen drinking at Moe's) and dressing up like a baby. In "Homerazzi" Lenny is hinted to be a transvestite when he dresses up like Seven of Nine from Star Trek: Voyager. Lenny drives a green two-door hatch back, whose licence plate reads "DUI GUY".

A running gag through the series is the possibility of a sexual relationship between Lenny and Carl. When Marge's Popsicle stick sculptures of Lenny and Carl are destroyed and mashed together, Lenny states, "I don't know where Carl ends and I begin!", to which Carl replies, "See, it's statements like that that make people think we're gay".

Okay, we understand now.

Back to business...

Remember, registration at 6pm and race start at 7:30pm.
The race will begin just after sunset, so there'll be a little bit of light left for the prologue. As soon as you enter the woods though, it'll be dark. It will be darker sooner each week too.
