No problem. Let some air out, let some more air out. Let out more air and your rim should be on the ground. Now you're good to go. East bound and down!
To hesitate is a waste of time.

The way I see it, this might be my last chance to ride on snow for a while. I'm in!

    Nick's summary video

It's not yet up on the Whiteout blog but Aaron has a new video posted:

Sagamore trails will open to general use status shortly after the race on Saturday. If you want to cross the ice on Sunday I think that would be fine

    Riding Sagamore on Sunday

I see on the Maps page graphic it says:

The Sagamore Ice Abyss Trail is only available is only available during the Whiteout event
I assume this means we can ride the Sagamore Unit on Sunday after all the festivities are over, but that we can't cross the lake to get there, correct?

    pre-register tonight prior to midnight

Oooh, snazzy new graphic is up alerting to the deadline:

Remember, to receive the sweet Whiteout swag you’ll want to pre-register tonight prior to midnight. When the clock strikes midnight the Cuyuna Lakes Yeti will hit the gong and from there on we’ll instruct how you can register the day of.

I can't stand it. Just booked a room and signed up for Friday and Saturday events

BTW, that's an excellent deal for the hotel in Deerwood.

Expert and Intermediate group goes out first as mass start. Beginner group hits the trail about 10 minutes after. Minnesota nice is defiantly rule #1. Sagamore trails are perfect for this type of race because of the wide corridor. 5"s of snow on the ground since 10:30 last night and its still snowing fairly hard. We could not have asked for a better scenario. Grooming and snowshoe madness starts today! We will be ready by the weekend for this epic event!
    Cheers

Clueless newbie question: How does the start of the XC race work? Is it a mass start, all classes mixed together? Or are riders sent out in waves, with the fast crowd going first and beginners last? Or is it enduro style, with one rider going out at a time, one minute apart? Or is it Minnesota Nice style, where everyone says "After you" "No, you go ahead" "Are you sure?"
