Trail Condition: Icy

Just got back from a night ride on the fatty at Rebecca, after doing a lot of exploring on foot earlier in the day with the Husky to see how the trails looked, as well as all the cool unused land. It's sketchy icy on top of hard pack snow out of the trailhead, and the first hill was real icy requiring a push. Then it's a lot of hardpack/icy hiker footprints making it a very bumpy ride(glad i have a Thudbuster now), with occasional untouched crunchy snow if ya get creative. You can get moving pretty good at times, and then there is also a lot that you really have to work at. You want a good work out, come on out, it could use about 50 sets of fat tires(don't recommend on skinnys). There's probably about 90% 2-4" snow coverage, and 10% exposed grass/dirt. If the footprints got packed in enough, it wouldn't be too bad. However, it's still a short and relatively boring loop unfortunately, but with everything else closing, the options are getting slim. Wish Three Rivers would get on the ball on planning the new singletrack, i've found so much cool potential out there in the hills off the beaten path,...could end up riding a lot like Murphy.
