...Back to the topic of sky ride.

I know that this has nothing to do with the Red Bull Sky Ride except for the fact that its about the promoter/organizer Adam Buck.

I hopped on the Chilly Chili thread last week trying to get some of you out to watch the Skijumping event at the Bush Lake Skijumps after the race on Sunday. I was really happy to see that quite a few MTB racers did show up to check it out, I was the one driving the skiers to the top in the white GMC truck... to those that did make it out, thank you for your support.

Buck was one of the MTB community that did check it out and was stoked enough to come back out tonight to try Skijumping first hand. He took around 12 to 15 jumps on the small hill (10 meeter) and was jumping about as far as anyone on the hill... his FIRST NIGHT!!! I'm confident we will have him going off the 30 meter hill by the end of the year.

Be carefull anyone who knows Buck, he may just call you out on this one!!

It’s back! A follow up to last years Red Bull SkyRide, the first ever bike race through a skyway system!

50 riders will once again have the chance to race in the skyway system of our state’s capital. This years course will be starting in the Lowry Building and end in the grandeur of the Union Depot on the opposite side of downtown. For those of you that don’t know downtown St. Paul that means the course is all downhill!!! (w00t!) Along with a few special surprises along the way this years course will be an exciting race for the 50 invited riders!!!

To throw your name in the hat for this years race promising more twist, turns, steps, and berms then last year send the following...

• Tell us why you should Ride The Sky in 25 words or less.
• Including some cool pictures to wow us with wouldn’t hurt either.

So it's not possible to see any racers while they are on the course?

Nope. Due to course changes this year, this will be strictly enforced. Its just to dangerous a combination.

Only way to see this in person is to be a racer, course marshall, or accredited media.

WOW, good work Buck. Next year you may have to up the entries to 100. But then again with all the "Celebrities" Buck knows there may be 100 already riding. LOL
I Told the LBS guy (Cars) that it was on again this year and he was happy to hear about it and was wondering if it was going to be regular event.

Back on Topic! Peeps are still throwin' their names in the hat: CA, Aussies, CO, Iowa, Wisco, MN, SoDak, Chi-town!!!! I'm getting really really excited!!!

Some cool news: I extended an invite to the IMBA TCC from CA(Nat and Rachael Lopes), who by the end of this season will have built trails in all 50 states!!!! Figured it'd be a dope way to thank them! They are flyin' all the way out here to hang with us and ride!!!

Couple more weeks and riders will be notified!

LOL That's funny. I wasn't kissing a$s that's something I just don't do. Captain happens to be from my home town, and I do hope everyone who gets in good luck. I am generally a good hearted person and wish people the best till they prove me wrong which happens more times than not. I guess just being nice and hopeful to boot, just wont cut it around here anymore.

Yeah, I noticed a lot of @$$ kissing also. I think everyone who signed up would like to get in, but we know this is not going to happen. Let the people do there job, and let’s not try to influence them. I’m sure everyone can ride, it is a race but also a race for fun. There are no points for it, as far as I know, just bragging rights. Just my 2 cents.

Hey Captain it would be cool to meet you if you get invited. Would be nice to see someone from back home. Been a while since I been to the QCFreeride site but still check on it once in a while. I am hoping to get in also it would be cool to race and my knee is getting better everyday. I keep wondering if you ever found them hidden trails I mentioned to you guys back in the QC. I doubt but still hope I get picked to race "The Sky", I keep finding that I am counting the days till we find out who gets picked. Whoever they are they will be one lucky bunch and hope them all a fast and safe race.

Edit: There is a helmet cam on CL for $60 I ran across the other day. It may still be listed.
