2004 Minnesota MTB series

I just got word from an involved friend that the MCF is working on an officially sanctioned state championship race series for next year. stay tuned and watch the message boards at www.mcf.net.

It will include a lot of races/venues that have historically been part of the state championship series but will be including more non-ski area race venues.

Thats all I know now. supposedly there will be more info in December and January.

This sounds really good. A couple of non ski area races might be nice.

The Wisconsin Off-Road Series(WORS) has a really good setup so it would be nice to see the same thing happen here. Now WORS is sanctioned with NORBA somehow which should be beneficial to this ever growing sport.

This statement is a very premature. I'm not saying that it will never happen, and there may be discussion going on outside the MCF, but currently (I just checked) there is NO official discussion of the MCF doing this.

But, as Andy said: stay tuned, who knows...

The Minnesota Cycling Federation is not organizing an MTB series. One of the member clubs has shown an interest in doing this. I'm not sure exactly where this stands, but it has not been brought to the MCF Board. We'll certainly take a look at it if and when it is.

The Coggs website and the Blast website both state that their will be a state series. Any further info yet? Which races are included in the points, etc... NORBA? These are the races from different websites:
