Last Chance Mountain Bike Race
Hillside Moutain Bike Trails, Elk River, MN
Sunday, November 9th, 2003
Where: Hillside Mountain Bike Trails, Elk River, MN. These are some of the premier mountain bike trails in the Twin Cities. The trails are very narrow, turny and twisty, with lots of short uphills, but no long sustained climbs. Beginners may have to dismount a few times per lap (approx 7 miles per lap), but in general this course is fun for all abilities- beginner to expert.
Why: Last event of the year! Also, this event is a fundraiser for Minnesota Biathlon Community Olympic Development Program.
When: Sunday, November 9th, 2003
9:30am-11:00am Registration
10:50am Course Closed to pre riding
11:00am Novice Race- 1 lap
12:00pm Expert/Comp and Sport- 3 laps
2:30pm Course Open for Recreational Riding
2:30pm Awards (approximate)
How much: 16 and under $10, over 16 years $15. Day of race registration only

Weather Cancellation Policy: Substantial rain in the preceeding days may cause the race to be cancelled (we don't want to damage the trails). Final posting for cancellation will be posted on www.minnesotabiathlon.com by 6:30am on November 9th.
Directions:
Located at Hillside Park1/2 hour northwest of the Twin Cities in the city of Elk River. Travel west on Interstate 94, then north on Hwy 101 from Rogers exit to 169 and the City of Elk River. From Hwy 169 turn right at Co, Rd, 12 just north of the Home Depot & Walmart stores. Travel east on Co. Rd 12 aprroximately 3/4 of mile to Hillside Park. Look for the trail head parking area on the south(right)side of the road.
