I rode the river trail yesterday and I just couldn't wait to tell EVERYONE how great the trail is and that this is the time of the year that this trail really shines - it is long sleeved jersey riding weather - Saturdays showers only enhanced things - the trail is hard and fast - the itch weed is down, the skeetets are gone, and the leaves on the trail make the sandy areas firmer.

So what are you waiting for? Get out there and ride (day or night)!

PS, I ran into old man river and the night river time trial just might make a comeback soon.....

Ah, the "King of the River" time trial. I remember the night well. No course marking, no insurance, no permit. Just the "who's who" of the mountain bike scene. Start at "the Log" end at Bloomington Ferry bridge.
8:00pm start. I think John Sandberg was the winner.

Hell yeah, the River Bottoms were in fantastic shape yesterday! I could hardly stand to get off my bike after a 3 hour SS ride. Just wish that raft would go away permanently; no offense Don, the new stairs rock!

Funny thing, I passed 2 different riders on Jamis Dakar XLT 1.0s on the trail yesterday, while mine waits patiently in the shop for a pivot assembly replacement kit to arrive. On the other hand, I am having soo much fun on rigid single.....
