I'll be doing two small trail maintenance projects on the Minnesota River Trail on Friday, Oct 11, starting about 10:00 AM. If a person or two wants to join me, that'll leave time for a ride for me after the work is done.
I'll park at the cul-de-sac near the RR trestle, but I'll have the necessary tools, so anyone can ride in to help. No work apparel is necessary.
The two projects are: a) put in more stakes to hold down the wavy bridge, as my flotation calculations tells me it could float away in high water with just the 4 stakes now holding it down; and b) add more decking and re-slope the weste approach to the problem bridge about a mile west of the trestle.
If you're going to play hooky to ride the River Trail on Friday morning, I hope you'll stop & help.
