Hey all,

PLEASE NOTE THE TIME CHANGE TO 5:30PM FOR TRAILWORK!!!!!!!!

Work continues on the new singletrack trail being built in Inver Grove Heights.

This week the plan is to work on finishing as much of the open field singletrack that we can. We are getting near the end of the building season and the city wants this part of the trail done by mid October.

with a good turnout we might be able to get it all done tonight, if not we should be able to get it done next week. The more people we have show up, the quicker we can get to the drinkin.

We should be able to get the majority of the finishing work done before October. If we Can't make it by then Please check out the other Post about Saturday Trail Work.

Where: Salem Hills Parking Lot. Upper 55th street between hwy 52 and South Robert Trail.

Hmm. . . the night ride is a possibility. I'll be at trailwork for sure though.

I'll definitely be out to do some shovelin', and I'm planning for now to make it to Leb to ride after. Where is that battery charger . . . .

Does this mean the beer moves to the Leb lot??

Good Point! But I don't think we can drink beer in the leb lot, right? (legally anyway).

We could grab a beer or 2 each and ride into the trail a bit. That seems to be ok, right?

You can drink just off the lot in the grass if you like with no issues as long as it is in moderation etc.

For those not going to Lebanon afterwards, I will have HOT COCO instead of Cold Refreshments this week.

I can even add a little flavor to the batch if people want. let me know and hope to see a good group out tonight.

The work will be easy, and highly rewarding!!!!

Many Thanks to everyone who turned out last night.

I actually didn't have enough tools for everyone!!! This is the kind of problem I like to have, as it is much easier to correct than not having enough people.

We completed all the finishing work in the open field/praire sections of the trail and reflagged it all so that when the city comes in to plant, they done seed all of our hard work.

We now move out into some wooded and grassy sections to complete, should be a little more interesting work, though a slight bit slower.

Next Wednesday will be at 5:30 and the remaining wednesday night will start at 5:00.

look for the post about sat trailwork next weekend.

Once again thank you very much for everyone who has helped with this project.

James

P.S. I hope the Hot Cocoa helped to keep everyone nice and war on thier way home.

James,

Is Salem Hills in some freakish climate zone that you still need bug dope in October?
