Hey gang

Is anybody planning on heading to Bonktoberfest at the Berryman Trail, October 10-12th? I may be interested in going.

Marty??

Nah. Too far for a weekend trip for me. I'd need at least 4 days for that to get it al in. I know Sean wanted to go and was looking not too long ago. Or did his idea of a trip get kiboshed?

Yeah, Sean put the brakes on the Bonktoberfest trip. Same reason as you, way too far for 2 days of riding. Man, that IS a long way from here.

Are you going to ride with me, Kurt Lange, et al, before the PBR-Swap? Leaving from the studio at 10AM?

over and out

Get this. . .

I was going to be riding the Berryman that Friday. I had a wedding to go to in Memphis TN and was gonna take a little detour to Potosi on the way down. A few weeks ago though the wedding was called off. My heart goes out to my dear buddy Ray. It's better that they realized problems now rather than later I guess. Now I'll have to make it a point to make it down there some other time. I hear it's a great ride.

Indeed it is. One sinlge track 25 mile loop connected via another 10(?) 15(?) MILES of single track to ANOTHER large single track loop. Can't get much better'n that! And the trail is this swoopy, ledgy, perfectly cut in ribbon of joy. Gotta get back there soon!

Mark, you dumbass :eyeroll: that was Landahl! Look here for the Berryman link (http://content.mtbr.com/pscTrails/United,States,Trails/Missouri/B-Trail%20-,Berryman,Trail,,(Berryman)/PRD_168765_4559crx.aspx)! Landahl certainly looks like fun though....

Doh! I AM a dumbass. I was checking out both trail reviews and obviously had the wrong link still on my clipboard.

Speaking of dumbasses, are these dudes (dope-growin' Larsons (http://www.startribune.com/stories/462/4113754.html)) your kinfolk?

Sweet! Definitely looks like a must ride if you are even close to it.

Looks like IMBA picked it as a Epic : http://www.imba.com/epics/slideshows/berry_index.html

Never been to Berryman, but it planned for the future.

Landhal is a hell of a trail. Lots of beautiful SingleTrack, Limestone ledges, creek crossings, wildlife. I would highly recommend both Landhal and another KC trail called Minor Park as a great long weekend ride. Minor trailhead is in the parking lot of a great mexican Grill and Bar. What could be better?

it is only a 6 hour drive and well worth the trip.

I have video and lots of pictures if peeople are interested.

I'd be interested in seeing a few good pics. 6 hours really isn't THAT long of a drive.

No Mark, those Larson's are NOT related to me. Our family wouldn't be dumb enough to get caught. Oddly enough though, my dads name is Daniel....

Marty,

the video on the Multimedia page from the homepage is of landhal during the summit this spring.

I will have to upload some of the better pictures from there this weekend.

I wish I had gotten a few from the summit of the 40 foot ridable river crossing at night! It was really odd to see this long line of lights reflected in the river as they crossed. Fun Though!!! as long as you didn't fall in. VERY VERY COLD in the middle of MARCH!
