Yup, but it's all good. Hey, I'm scooter (Scott, in the real world) and I'm in from Ft Worth for the next 10 weeks or so and "HELL YA!" I brought my bikes.

I haven't had a chance to cruise your site yet (very cool site, BTW) but I am looking for ride (solo, group, whatever) and other fun stuff recommendations. There's no way I'm couchin' it in this cracker box for 10 weeks!

I'm also looking for a good local shop as it seems that I have a blown Fox VanillaRC on my Balfa. I'm sure its rebuildable. It's dripping like a '72 Harley.

Thanks in advance from a stanger in a strange land.

Welcome to the area! You definitely came to the right place... you'll find lots of info on our trails and group rides etc. here. We have our annual meeting this Saturday as well if you want to come see what MORC is all about.

BTW: if you find a good shop that fixes Fox forks let me know too... the right side of mine is dripping like yours. (although I have no idea how much a 72 Harley drips, I'll take your word for it...) Actually I'm worried just how much oil the thing has left in it right about now...

;)

Welcome!

Welcome and try Freewheel Bike. I don't know what they know about Fox Shocks, but they rule. One on One Bicycle Studio is a cool place to get work done and hang out. If you don't know the city well, you will need someone to direct or take you there. It is in Downtown Minneapolis off if 1st Av and Washington, if you can find that.

Enjoy the stay!

Bahhhh

Don't listen to Shad, One on One is easy to find, just go downtown and drive around until you see a huge neon covered building named Sex World and look next door. hehe, actually it is very easy to get too from Freewheel.

I would also recommend Freewheel for a local shop.

Not sure where they have you shacked up but if you head west on 94 from st. paul to Minneapolis. get off on Cedar Ave. and go north one block. turn right and Freewheel is on your left.

to get to One on One. come out of Freewheel and go north on Cedar. follow it into downtown minneapolis and it turns into Washington. Takes you by the Metrodome, keep going for about 16-17 blocks. One on One will be halfway down the blockonthe left after you go past Hennepin Ave.

Try and make it out to Buck this Weekend and feel free to drop me an email and 'll be happy to show you around the local trails.

I grew up in Altus, OK and would love to talk to someone about the riding in the area.

hehe,

I was an Air Force Brat so I have no real home :)

Lived in Altus for 6 years up through 1st half of 3rd grade.

Though I don't every want to go back for any extended period of time. I feel the same way about Alabama and Central California.

I was just down in OKC this spring and rode a couple of track (My cousin lives there). We rode Nu Draper (it wasn't too bad) and Bluff Creek (which was awesome). I was quite surprised. Had a lot of fun!!!
