I have not been there in a few years and on Sunday I took a peek. Freewheel is a pretty nice shop! I can't believe how much nice high end stuff they have, not to mention killer bikes. It's the only store I've seen with a lot of good Rocky Mountain bikes. I like some of the Rocky Mountain rides now that I have seen them in person.

One of the sales guys spent about 20 minutes looking up Levers and Shifters for me. Even though he had some options, they didn't have what I wanted. He did say he could get what I wanted in 1 day if I ordered the parts. He even looked to see if the distributor (I know who they are) had the items in stock. Not only did this guy take the time to look all the stuff up for me, he showed other options I might have liked (but I am picky) and he knew what he was talking about.

I know some at the other shop employees from some TC stores are a bit mad at me for some of my previous comments, but live with it. Until I can walk into their stores and get service like I recieved at Freewheel, they will just have to deal with the negative comments. Most shops I go to, I run across employees with this snoby attitude. Some make it obvious that you, the customer, are wasting their time. I get the feeling that unless I am buying some $2,000.00 mountain bike, which will get them a higher commission, they don't want to deal with me. Another thing that drives me crazy is a bike shop employee that doesn't know his crap. You work at a bike shop, it's your job, make an effort to learn about your job and how to do it!!!!!!!!

This coming from someone who managed a bicycle shop for 7 years and we ruled at it!

Freewheel gets a five star rating from me and I think a lot of other people here would agree.

Yeah, okay.

My frustration with the industry has gone far enough. I am just glad there are places like Freewheel, Kenwood, and One on One. Without them, I might as well go to Flanders for my BMX needs.....
