Night ride river bottoms on Thursday August 21. Meet at 35 W parking lot 7:45 pm. Relaxed ride so beginners are more than welcome to ride at sunset and in the dark. All you need is a sense of adventure, a light and your bike of course. Last night we rode and had a great time. Please post here or email me at the following: jjrsds@aol.com

Hmmmm... my first river bottoms ride this year perhaps?

Better dig out the ol' lights..

P.S. Do we have to cross that bridge-wanna-be raft?? ;)

I'll more than likely be doin' trail work at BC, but maybe I'll head over later, and run into y'all on the trail.

The Wed. night ride was a great time!

I think I can make it... I'll do my best. I rode Leb last night in the dark (X loop), and learned that my battery is doing much better now that it's been cycled (and all those other super bright lights aren't around).

Hope to see all of you there!

Count me in for the RB group ride. So which side do you guys ride first. I will probably bring two helmets just in case. What sucks is I can't wear them at the same time for the added protection! If one breaks I slap on another one. over and out!

I avoid the East side of 35W on this trail like the plague. Blind, 2-way, multi-use corners on hills? No thanks, I'd rather cross 35W blindfolded.

I am just curious, how late is the parking lot at the end of Lyndale next to 35W open? I know the parking lot at the Bloomington Ferry side is closed after 10pm. Just curious. Don't want to show up for a night ride down there and come back to a ticket at 10:05! Won't be around this week, but I'd love to join you guys for one of these rides.

I don't know if they close the lot or not. I don't remember seeing any signs saying when it closes. We finished around 11PM last week and didn't have any problems. Just riding the west side of the trail was pretty darn fun, and was planning and doing that again this week. I am open to what the group wants to do. Sounds like a much bigger group this week and I am really excited about that. Probably leave the lot around 8PM or so.

I usually park on the far West of the trail which is where the Bloomington Ferry Bridge was or on the far east side at the Indian Mounds Middle School Parking Lot. This school parking lot you do not have to worry about getting locked in to or towed. This is just what I do so take it with a grain of salt.

The East side is not so bad if you own a PR tool also known as a bell. This trail is the main reason I bought one. Ok, there probably not in style, but you do whatca gota dooo and style is a "state of mind" issue.

I dont think they close the lot. It's a public boat access parking lot for the river and there is no time restrictions on boating. I think you're good parking there 24/7

I probably wont make it this week so have a great ride.

Are you all ready for a shadowy flight into the dangerous world of a man ... who does not exist?
