I hate for this to be my first post, but I was wondering if anyone aout there has a spare battery for a NiteRider Digital Evolution. I was checking everything out the other day and one of my batteries won't hold a charge.

Any nice souls out there willing to let me beg, borrow, steal, rent a battery? Afton is too close and duct taping a Mag Light just doesn't seen like a good option.

You can email ma at jzipfel@envsafety.com

I would be very greatful

Sorry I can't help you directly, I don't use Niterider...

But, if you are unable to locate a battery, they are renting Light & Motion lights for the race. I heard $20??? Not sure which model though...

Try Batteries Plus. Obviously you will have to pay for it, but they can build and package any type of battery you would want. Lithium, NiMh, Pb acid, whatever. The cells they work with come in a variety of shapes, sizes and Amp hours, so you have a lot of options.

Contact Niterider. Some companies will "rent" batteries for a 24 hour race, of course for a fee. Might be worth a try.

Hey did you try to plug the charger directly into the battery for 2 min or so, then see if it lights then charge normal..... If it was left uncharged for a long period of time, the battery needs to be "cold charged" or however they say it. That may or may not work, you battery may only have half the memory left in it if it has been left a long time without charge.

Hope that helps at all...
Douglas

I appreciate the suggestions.

If I can't wake up the battery, I might have to rent from Light and Motion. Their website says they will be at Afton.

Thanks
