Nice thread title. I thought it was going to be about the great TV series they used to have about aliens taking over earth.......that show had wonderful special effects......NOT!

dunno what it was! This was supposed to go uner Troy's thing about IMBA....that was a great show though. I'd like to get cable for just OLN, Discovery and SciFi. That's all I need.

OLN was great for the Tour, but all I see now is fishing and hunting stuff. I guess that's fine if you like that sort of thing, but I am not into it, so OLN seems pretty useless to me until the next Tour.

I've gotta add Speed and TLC to that list though. Can't beat the rally's they have on speed! Mountain biking for cars! wohoo! OLN actually does have good programming. Adventure races, skiing and boarding stuff in winter an occasional travel show, and they DO have mtbing on Thursdays I think.

Rally racing is definately an interest of mine. I like the video games a lot. Colin Mcrae has the best video game series out.

I think its great that OLN has Cycling at all and what they do run is great to see but I find it kinda funny to see Hunting/Fishing with the good old boys and European bike racing on the same channel. I do wish they had more cycling during the winter when I can’t ride.

OLN has been showing some MT Biking from the NORBA and World Cup series, yet there website doesn't seem to list the times when they show it. I think it might be Thursday evenings at 6pm central time.
Thursday is their bike day when they show the road race of the week at 7pm and Summmer Sports Zone at 8pm which is a wrap up of the past week's biking events including MBking.

OLN is a little depressing this year, the Mountain Bike coverage has really dried up. You get the race overviews on Summer Sportzone, but not the whole race anymore. They also dropped other stuff that was fun to watch like BIKE Magazine TV.

Don't get me wrong though, I couldn't live without the Tour (and Giro and Vuelta) coverage.

...and the running of the bulls, that's crucial.:D

I wish you could do an a la carte style cable or Dish type programming. I can't see wasting the $30 - $50 a month right now, for a bunch of crap that I would never take the time to watch anyway.

Here's my wish list for programming when you can pay by the channel- OLN, Disc, Travel and I guess Food (I love to cook).

How about E!. I call it the Shallow Channel. It is always good for a little reality check.

I’m with you on the cable thing I really wanted the Speed Channel but I would have to go Digital to get it for an extra $15 a month. I only watch maybe 4-5 Channels. I’d get rid of it completely if I wasn’t addicted to Tour Coverage and Monster Garage.

I gave up on cable a long time ago. I only get some free channels because I used a splitter with my internet cable. I get all the major news channels, OLN, all ESPNs, and some extras at no charge.

I used to pay to get it, but when they started packaging them so I had to pay $45 or more to get the few channels I wanted, I decided to cancel and I told them why. It's been about 7 years and I still have not gotten cable. Until they do an a la carte thingy, I will not waste my money on the cable or satillite dish scam. Why should I pay for all these channels I am not interested in and why do they have so many ads now? The cool thing about cable was that since you paid, it was virtually ad free.......not any more........it's a double scam!!!!!

I've always thought about splitting the internet cable line but never did....left them 7 years ago for DirecTV (not that they are much better)

You had ONE good car out of that bunch of pics - and it wasn't the Mitsu - Go Cirtoen!

V - the Mini-Series was awesome! Especially when that lady had the babies and one was the lizard and then the other looked normal, but then showed us its tongue - ooooooohhhh.

Maybe someday MINIs will be rallying again! ha haaaa...
