Help Wanted: Trail Trim - 6PM Wednesday 13 August

Continuing on our success last week - round two of mowing and trimming will take place on Wednesday 13 August at 6PM. This time we will focus on the trail between the railroad turn bridge and the raft. The best access point is the steep downhill path at Goodrich Road and Overlook Drive. This is just one block west on Overlook Drive of where France Avenue turns into Overlook Drive. I suggest you park on Goodrich Road, which is just across from the access point. I am waiting on a key to the gate at that location so that we can get the DR mower in. If I don't get the key this may become a manual session, or we may change the mower access to the railroad bridge.

Again we will use the MORC mower and tools.

Suggested attire: light long pants, long sleeved shirt, sturdy shoes.

Please bring: WATER, eye protection, work gloves, bug spray, loppers and/or folding saws, hand operated weed cutting devices.

Quick directions: south on France Ave until it turns right into Overlook Drive, one block west to Goodrich Road and the access point.

Thanks to Brian and Shane Prevost the area from approx the rail road turn bridge past the raft is now much more rideable. In the areas where the trail splits into two trails both are now passable...we did some MAJOR cutting in these areas so conditions are vastly improved.....please get out there and ride and let us know how it is.

If you are responsiable for trimming River Bottoms I thank you. Four of us rode it last night after dark and I only had one itch weed stingy thing hit me. Nice work and thanks.
