Hey all,
Come out tomorrow to Salem Hills Park, previously known as Harmon Park, and get involved in building the newest 5 + miles of singletrack in the Metro Area.
If everything is going right, Dingo and BOB should be out sculpting out a nice ribbon of fast flowing contours on the Hills of the park and tomorrow we will be in doing finishing work on it.
If we can get a good crew out every wednesday in August and the weather cooperates, we could have this trail open in September!!!
Just think, 4 miles of wide open praire riding at high speeds surfing the contours of the park and 1 mile of diving into the heavy woods and sumac groves and keeping the speed through the contours in here also.
Should be alot of fun and I am thinking that trail pieces might get named after or By workers. We get to make the Map some come out and help!!!!
So here is the lowdown.
Where: Harmon / Salem Hills Park, Inver Grove Heights
http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.ad...=49&submit.y=15
When: Wednesday Nights starting at 6:00pm and ending before 9:00.
Who: Anyone interested in helping to build the first Mountain Bike Trail in the SouthEast Metro.
What to Bring/Wear: Water, Gloves, Bug Spray, Long Pants, Boots, short or Long Sleeve Shirt.
MORC will provide the Tools for working on the trail, and will be around to teach the Ins and Outs of Sustainable Trail Building.
If you have any questions, or need directions please feel free to get ahold of me.
