Hello. I thought your group might be interested in Three Rivers Park District's upcoming mountain-bike race series at Murphy-Hanrehan Park Reserve near Savage. A news release follows.
We need winter photos
We are seeking winter mountain biking photos to use in our winter publication. If you or anyone in your club has any good photos that we could use, please e-mail them to me at nlauseng@threeriversparkdistrict.org. Or mail them to Nancy Lauseng, Three Rivers Park District, Plymouth, MN, 55441. We will give you photo credit. We would prefer photos that were taken in our parks, or ones that look like they could have been taken in our parks (no mountains, palm trees, or volcanoes in background).
MOUNTAIN BIKE SPRINT SERIES AT MURPHY-HANREHAN PARK RESERVE
Murphy Mountain Bike Sprint Series – 5:30-6 p.m. registration; 6:30 p.m. mass start, Wednesday, Aug. 20 and 27, Sept. 3 and 10, starting at Murphy-Hanrehan trailhead.
Bikers may enter individual races or all four. Helmets are required. Awards and door prizes each week. Patron and Regular Rate/$10; parking fee included. Ages 14+. See www.ThreeRiversParkDistrict.org for further directions and map, or call recreation staff at 952-474-4822. Sponsored by REI.
Murphy-Hanrehan Park Reserve is located near Savage on Scott County Road 75. From I-35W, take County Road 42 west to County Road 27, turn south on 27, then east on 154th Street, then south on County Road 75 to the park entrance.
Three Rivers Park District’s annual Patron Pass is $25. The Pass includes an annual parking permit and a Patron card good for special rates at the Park District and participating businesses. For personal/family vehicles, the daily parking on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and holidays is $4, and parking is free Monday through Thursday.
