Trail work Wednesday, July 23

JJ - What's on the agenda for this week? Seems like we got most of the finishing work done last week on the trails that had already been cut.

And how do you propose to compete with a chance to get my picture in the Pioneer Press if I go to trail building night at Lebanon Hills this week instead of Harmon? :D I know, I know... let the lawn go another day and go to both.

I don't think he see's any competition at all...he expects you to attend both this week

Hey all,

Well I plan to go to Lebenon and Harmon, granted I responsible for one of them, and am an attention hound so I can't miss the other... being Vice Pres of MORC doesn't help much either huh?


Anyways, Tim is meeting with the IGH park tomorrow at noon to walk the trail in the south fields that they have flagged to get approval to go ahead with that building. I do not know if that means that Trailsource will be out wednesday with equipment cutting trail or not. I will try and get ahold of Tim to figure that out.

If they are out with Dingo and Bob, we will have plenty to do. If not, we will probably be doing final layout and pinflagging out in the south fields, along with finalizing the layout for the connector trail between what we finished last week.

I will try and get and update for everyone tomorrow so you can prepare for hard work or easy work.

If Nothing else, I plan on getting some video of trail work being done, even if it is fake, for the movie of MORC's work this summer that I am putting together.

If you want to be a press hound and get your picture in the paper go ahead to Lebanon. :mad: Actually a strong showing at Lebanon would be great with the press there, so you have my blessings.:D I had hoped to be there myself but the schedule won't allow that. I'm out.

Thanks Bob, Bill, Dennis, and JJ for showing up tonight.

We became a crew of human brush cutters, oh what I would have given to have Tim's nice Gas powered one tonight.

We cleared maybe 2/10 of a mile of very heavy underbrush and sumac and grapevines in the trees going up the slope of the south side of the pond.

Have about another 1/10 to do before we are out in the clear of the field.

Come August, we could definitly use a few more people to help out.

We are going to be out in a wide open field doing finishing work on a dingo and bob cut trail. To give you an idea, you can stand in one place and turn 360 degrees and see almost 2 mile of trail. snaking up and down the sides of the bowls out in this soon to be Native Praire and Hardwood forest.
