I just wanted to list the official trail steward(s) for Harmon Park, as voted on at the last MORC meeting.
Heading up the job of trail steward and primary contact to Inver Grove Heights is James Ford. James has a long history on the MORC board and lives real near Harmon Park.
New to the trail steward situation for MORC is a new "secondary" trail steward. If the primary is for any reason unable to do their thing, needs assistance etc. they look to the secondary. This person is also in a position to accumulate knowledge to someday become a primary either for the same park or possibly somewhere else.
This job falls to James J. Robb. JJ has been very active in trail building this year at both Harmon and Lebanon. He attended the IMBA trail building schools, and has shown real interest in what MORC is trying to accomplish.
If you guys have questions regarding Harmon Park, please feel free to discuss with either of these two guys.
Two bananas for the Harmon Trail Stewards
Note: we will be setting up and posting primary and secondary stewards for other parks shortly. If you have interest in becoming a trail steward, please let us know! Again, the trail stewards job is to be the point of contact with the land manager and to provide guidance and approval for activities taking place in the park(s) in question. More information can be found online elsewhere, and more information is coming soon as well.
