deciding whether to get a blur, superlight, or heckler. Any advice/recommendations/exp people have had with these bikes in MN? Thanks!!!

I have never heard a bad report about Santa Cruz from those that I have met that ride them.
I ride the Blur and love it. My bud Jan Lee and his wife Paula ride the Superlight and love them as well.
I debated between the Blur and Heckler... I believe the heckler would be more of an all-mountain if you are not as into light weight racing type bikes.
You cannot go wrong with any of them. All are great choices. If you can get a Blur or Heckler frame yet this year, I'd go for it - but you'll wait I'm sure. You can probably find a superlight at a local bike shop much easier, and it is a great bike too.

Thanks, thats what i was looking for, personal exp w/ the blur.
Seems like the heckler is more all mountain than I would need. I guess it comes down to whether I want to try to find a blur and spend the extra money for the VPP, or go for the superlight. Now i just need to find $2500+ ;)

That will get you a Blur frame and maybe a wheel or two - better start saving ;)
(I'd go with full XTR if you want to really love your new ride.. or look into the new 2004 XT set that is supposed to have the same combined shift/break lever system)

I love my Superlight, I've had it for a couple of years now. It replaced a GT XCR 1000, which was my first dually. The Superlight handles much better in my opinion and has taken a beating without a whimper (unlike the GT). I could go on and on but basically the thing is a hoot and a half to ride, and I have no desire to replace it. It's fun.
