July is finally here, and what better way to celebrate than to come out for trail work at Lebanon Hills!

We'll be doing MORE fun stuff in the XX loop this week. Possibly working on another cool berm. Possibly some rock stuff. Possibly some more log rides.

Have you checked out my new log "stairs" in the XX loop lately? There are a couple more logs over there if we're into making it even more difficult... or not.

Come on out, we hope to see you there! Since many are probably on vacation, we'll probably really need the extra help this week more than ever....

Trail work went very well last night - thanks to everyone that showed up!

You will see what we did just after Jan's rock as you make the left hand turn toward the tabletop. There is a new berm there - lots of huge rocks and some dirt piled into the inside.

This berm we are trying to make roll faster than the one over by the McDonald's tree. Please ride it and give your feedback. It is supposed to allow you to keep your speed around that uphill corner and shoot you back into the trail appropriately. What has been happening is that people skid around the corner and dip way to the right and off the trail to keep momentum. This should keep the trail small and in the right place... but with all berms we're hit and miss as far as the shape.

We are planning to add a little more dirt as it starts to get packed in, so at this time you will actually see rocks at the very top. We saw some take it real low, and one guy even rode it way high right at the edge of where the dirt meets the rock (which I believe is the correct line). To keep this berm sustained we're going to have to hope it gets packed in, then re-shape it as we get rain etc.

Again, thanks to all that showed up to help out. Without our volunteers, we wouldn't be able to continue improving our trails like this.
