View Full Version : Trail Markers
Rode Terrace this morning and had a good ride. This is a fun little trail that offers a few challenging sections. I noticed however that the trails are marked as "Beginner" with "Advanced" beneath.
Is this suppose to make the beginning riders feel good about riding this course:) or make the advanced riders feel bad that in fact, it really is a beginners trail:(
Just an observation as I have my own opinion.
Ride on.

Normally those trail markers should show the lowest common ability on them - I think there is some confusion on how those are placed... the thinking (I think) was that there are advanced sections available via the trail, so they place the advanced sticker on there.
That should be corrected where appropriate. If a trail is advanced or has any advanced level areas, it should be labeled as such with no beginner on it.
Usually the only time you will see two on one sign is when arrows separate 2 trails, such as a beginner bypass going left, advanced to the right etc.

I believe that what you are seeing in the section in which the beginner and advanced trails run together. As you ride further along, the two trails diverge.
Someone has added some additional log crossings at Terrace. All but one are actually pretty well designed.
