Once again, we are back in the XX loop this Tuesday. This time I WILL be there (had a MORC board meeting last week). We had an excellent turnout this last Tuesday, so I hope we can keep that going. We are a bit further behind on the trail than we thought with some of the special rock sections that have been built.. but thats ok, it is starting to look more like an actual XX loop now with the added obsticles.

Rumor has it that those showing up to trail work this Tuesday might receive a nifty cool MORC logo/web site address die-cut rub-on sticker to put on their car (so you don't get blanketed with brochures once we start doing that hehe)

Also, we're working to get "Trail Care Crew" t-shirts for everyone as well... hopefully we'll have these in a few weeks.

Hope to see you there next Tuesday, 6pm - JCRR parking lot...

Another rumor:

Trail workers might get made famous by a photographer for the Sun Current newspapers this coming Tuesday. :)

Looks like the weather will clear up in time for us to have trail work again tomorrow night (6pm, JCRR parking lot as usual).

Agenda once again will be to work on the new xx loop - both finishing trail and to work on a new log table/drop obstacle.

We're getting closer and closer each week... with a few more good turnouts we should soon be seeing new trail actually open (to everyone, not just stupid poachers hehe)

Hope to see you there tomorrow!?!?!

Awww.. since we already have them lying on the trail where they need to be, it should only take you a few minutes to move them into place for us ;)

BTW: The South Metro Sun-Current regional newspaper is sending a writer and a photographer to do a story on the MORC trail crew at 6:00 this Tuesday the 20th. Dale Gundberg did a brief phone interview today.

Wear your MORC t-shirts tomorrow if you got em'... and if you don't have one, we just ordered new ones - look for them mid-June!

I feel awful not helping out a 2nd week in a row. If I don't get out and ride tonight, though, I'm gonna be hurting big time this weekend in the Back of Beyond!

Also, the photographer who's gonna be there is a friend of mine, so be nice to him! :P

We'll certainly miss ya out on the trail... have a good ride!

Hope there are others planning to show up tonight - with the reporters, the stickers... and the xx loop being just weeks away.

See everyone there!

I live in Le Sueur:eyeroll:

I hate cars....:fool:

freekin tranny went out on my big white brick! As I keep promising to show up to one of these nights, I feel it's my duty to do so. SO unless I'm able to find a ride, I won't be there tonight. I really wanna get up there though! Maybe I can beg Lisa's car from her....I'll try!

Broken cars suck! -bummer Marty.

Will there be anyone out doing work any earlier? I'll have to leave early tonight but I could be out there by around 4:30 or so.

I'll be there earlier as well. Was thinking about doing a lap then getting to work.

troy, saw Big Blue up there last thursday. I tried running into you, but never managed to. Saw plenty of other folks though!

We didn't have the turnout we have had in the past.. but what we lacked in numbers didn't seem to matter as we really got a lot accomplished last night.

Tim and Dale were out with Dingo & Bob finishing off much of the trail that needed attention.

We built a new log table-top-drop obstacle where you jump up over a log and you are on a platform (level with the hight of the log), you then drop off the log onto another platform, then have a 2-log drop back to the trail. (this will make sense when you see it)

We also worked on the rock section leading up to "Jan's Rock" and did some trail finishing at the exit of the trail. (finding lots of rocks to create yet another rock garden at the climb out)

We seem to find more and more rocks and/or cool obstacles to add as we go, so finishing has still not been completed... however, the trail is becoming more and more unique each trail session and we should still be able to open it up very early June (I believe in conjunction with IMBA being here)

For those that have not been there to help on the trail work - a reminder to NOT ride the trail until it is completed and opened. Only those that have helped out and know what is going on back there should ever be seen on the trail at this point in time. If you see anyone back there that should not be, simply tell them to carry their bikes up to the closest trail and exit the xx loop.

Pictures coming tonight..
