The parking situation at Lebanon continues to get worse. Last night during trail work night people were parking all over the place, in the ditch and on the grass etc.

I just wanted to remind everyone that parking in areas like that can (and will) get you a ticket. I know the frustration one can have to come out there only to find no parking spaces - but there are alternative places to park that aren't illigal.

You can actually park over at the Galaxy entrance, although it is less safe over there to be loading and unloading bikes etc. (cars go by rather fast on that road) - you won't get ticketed there though, unless it is during snow removal season.

There is supposedly a small parking lot about 1/2 mile south of the Leb parking lot. It is some kind of school. Parking for the time trials will be using that lot (anyone have more info on that lot?)

I believe there is a parking lot over accross from the park that is on the north side of the regular parking lot. I see it when I drive by when going between the Galaxy and JCRR entrances. (Covington Lane, and I think they call it Ridge Cliff Park)

I can't tell people when and where to ride, obviously.. however, a smart thing to remember would be that trail work happens every Tuesday at 6pm. That means if we get the average 12-14 guys, thats 12-14 cars in the lot for people working on the trail, plus the trailer with Dingo & Bob etc.

Perhaps Tuesdays would be a good time to ride elsewhere to help save parking spaces and to avoid running over the trail volunteers. (I'm not going to suggest trail workers to park elsewhere - they should have front row parking spots if anything)

The parking lot about 1/2 mile south on Johnny Cake Ridge Road is the School of Environmental Studies' (Zoo School) parking lot. I had to get special permission to officially use that lot but I can imagine that there would be nothing wrong with parking there during non-school times. (Which would also happen to be the peak trail use times at Leb. Hills)

As far as parking for the Time Trials, if I haven't specifically told you that you can park in the lot at the trailhead (which would be most of you), please use the Zoo School lot. I will have signs marking where to go.
