Where exactly is this place?

I have heard good things about jay cooke. I dont really know where it is though. Is it out of town a ways? within riding distance from UMD?

Jay Cooke is a great park. That being said, the trails open to mountain bikes are nice, but limited, and all on the north side, off of the Munger. The hiking on the south side is fantastic!!

The park is located just east of Carlton, MN, and west of Fon Du Lac, and the northern border is the paved Willard Munger State Trail. Just follow Hwy 23 through West Duluth, Gary and New Duluth, and hang a right up the hill. Or ride the Munger 14 miles from the West Duluth Trailhead (behind the Willard Munger Inn) up to the park.
