Ivan, Noah and I rode Milaca trails this past Saturday, May 3, 2003. It was wet in quite a few spots after the trail goes away from Rum River after the first bridge. The return bridge was up but the other side had a temporary bridge up. It was very muddy on this Bog Monster section as expected. Very rarely is it completely dry. Now after all this rain it is not going to dry up for at least another 2 weeks with not rain in that time period.
Sky Hill and Challenge Hill were in very good shape. This is about 3 miles of singletrack which is always very technical.
The best time to Ride this Trail is sometime between July-Sept due to all the rain in the spring and fall.
