I stopped by Terrace yesterday to see if the trail was open and found mixed signals, the gate for the trail had been opened/removed, but the sign in the parking lot said the trail was still closed.
This leads me to believe either the trail will be open soon (when they remove the sign), or it's open now and they forgot to take down the sign. After stopping by last Sunday and finding both the sign and gate closing off the trailhead, it was obvious the trail was closed, it's not so obvious right now.
Does anyone know what the situation is?

Was the gate fully removed and gone, or did it look like people had gone and opened it up themselves?
I'm pretty sure last word was the trail would open May 1, so it *should* be open now.
(Dakota also took another week to remove the closed sign out of their bulletin board at Lebanon)
I'll write to the city and see if they can say for sure, but I'm 99% sure it is open.
I'm glad to see people are aware of the signs like you mentioned. It is unfortunate when they give off mixed signals though. We'll get the final world...

I just called the Burnsville parks office and they verified that Terrace Oaks indeed opened yesterday, May 1.
I let them know there was still a sign stating otherwise, hopefully they will get that cleared up.
Now - someone get out there and ride and let us know how the conditions are out there... ok, maybe I'll go this afternoon ;)

John,
Some buddies and I are planning a 2pm ride at Lebanon and Terrace so I'll post conditions.
If you want to join I am going to be doing some still and Handheld video at both places to work into the movies.

I too called them yesterday and they told me it opens May 15, go figure.:eyeroll: :eyeroll:
