First, note the time change. 6pm, my friends... that gives everyone a chance to get home and shower, spruce up and smell all nice and clean for trail work... right?

We're on a roll folks! Two weeks in a row we had more than 12 people out working the trail. I think if we do it again, it might be a record. (if it isn't already..)

Not only are we just weeks away from some sweet new trails at Lebanon, but I feel like I'm starting to make some great new friends. Ok.. so I won't get all mushy on you here... but I just want to say how thankful I am for those of you who came out so far this year, and to openly invite anyone else who might be hesitating... we could really use you!

Just listen to the guys talk that have been out there. They now have that feeling of ownership of the trail, I can sense it... what a great feeling!

Ok, on to the real agenda. This coming Tuesday we'll be doing trail finishing behind where Dingo & Bob have left off. There may be some rock armouring under Jan's rock, but our goal now is to get the trail finished off so we can.. yup, you guessed it.. RIDE! (thats why we do this, is it not?)

So.. if you can make it, please do! We'll see you at the trail at 6pm (JCRR parking lot as usual)

Hey John
Wouldn't it be great if we could have the XX loop open in time for HotSpots!! We could show the IMBA Trail Care Crew what we have accomplished since the last time they visited our Metro area.

I will have more info on the HotSpots program in about a week and will let everyone in on the activities. As of right now we have 28 land managers, DNR, Federal Parks and local parks personnel registered to attend the trail schools.

Went for a family hike Sunday before the rain moved in.
We did a full reconnaissance of the new XX loop to show the new bridges I helped put in place last week. This trail is going to be sweet!!!
It was fun listening to my son (age 10) evaluate the obstacles along the way and letting me know which were rideable and which were going to be tough.
As a side note we did not hike any of the active riding trails.
I plan to be at trail building tomorrow evening.
See ya.:)

You do have your son on a bike, right? He'll probably be showing all of us how to ride the new trail... (nothing like having a 10 year old pass you on the bypass. hehe)

Hopefully the rain will quiet down tomorrow. As long as it isn't pouring out, we'll count on still having trail work as usual. See ya there!!

IMPORTANT - Trail work for this Tuesday (May 6) has been cancelled due to weather and another unforseen event.

We'll be back on track the next week at 6pm... stay tuned for more information.
