Just wondering if anyone knows when trail work is done on this trail, or who to contact?

I am also curious about this. I'm creating the Memorial Trail review and would like to give thanks to the local trail crew, as well as include contact information for those that may want to get involved.

From what I have been told, they are called "Great River Cycling" (which I believe is also a local bike shop in the area?)

If anyone knows anything about the trail crew in Redwing, please post it here. Thanks!

Hey all. I finally got set up to participate on MORC! I am responsible for the work on the trails of Memorial Bluff. Some of you may have met me on race day at the Muddy River Rock n Roll; I am the co-director of the race. We are planning some trail work days later on this year again with some more new sections and clean up on the old stuff. The city of Red Wing has been amazing with letting us use their park and they have given the green light for some more technical single track!!! We'll be marking and walking with the city and then breaking dirt this fall or right away in the spring. I will update with all the happenings.

I am also working on some signage so that the trails will be clearly marked for new riders. Thanks for the great reviews of our trails.

p.s. The Great River Cycling Club is currently defunct but our core group of trail builders is still going strong. Feel free to contact me if you want info on the trails and stuff.

I rode Memorial on saturday, was a bit too hot out so I cut my time short. I really enjoyed the dry run area!!. Even though I've been there before I'm confused by the trail markings and lack of. Will new trail markers be put up soon? I also saw a lot of pallets and boards lying around, more to come?

Yes, may I echo the others...great trails, Super fun to ride. And for the non-locals, the additional signage will be a godsend. Great work down there Kris!

I have signs going together in my garage as we speak. The first batch should be posted the first part of August if all goes well. Those of you who have noticed the boards and pallets laying up there in the quarry can look forward to their being used on some interesting new trails as we move closer to fall. We are getting some final approval from the city but it looks good right now! I'll keep you posted as to dates when we are able to start construction!

That same map should also be available in our trail review area in .pdf format so you can download and print as needed...

Went on a great ride at Memorail trail today. My in-laws live less than two miles from the entrance to the park, so the wife and kids spent the afternoon there while I rode.

Still a confusing place to ride, but the map helps a lot. I always end up at the bottom of the hill by the golf course whether I intend to or not. I couldn't find the "expert descent to the golf course" though.

I did find "Welcome to the Jungle" -- very nice. I was also able to ride the "Cow Path" trail back down the bluff, much more fun than back down the blacktop.

Great trail.
