...new bike shop in Burnville. On Buckhill Road - the old Beaver Mountain - yes, I said mountain of beaver. Hehehe. I'm 12.

Pretty cool shop. Short DS/BMX track out back with drop, berms and table top. Fun place to stop after a ride. Never even made it inside.

Will be supporting a Tuesday night DS/DH series at Buck this summer. More to come I guess...

I'm happy to see a bike shop taking on more high-end bikes & equipment. I hope they can make a go of it - I stopped in there once last week.. a very friendly group. Wish they sold Santa Cruz there.

...how about Turner, Intense or Ellsworth?! Kidding, SC makes great bikes. Erik's sells them (and Intense) for better or for worse. GL carries a solid line of Kona and Tomac among others.

Did not catch the guy's name (taller thin guy, seemed like the owner/manager), but he was super cool. He let me take my bike around the track, including the short XC section to the south of the DS/BMX track. Was fun to drop off the ledge and hit the table top. Still trying to master the latter.

I'm really interested in getting a DS series going in MN. The guy I met at GL mentioned a "full-on" DH series at Buck, but I can't imagine how you would do that without a lot of back and forth. Meaning, you don't need a crazy full-tilt DH bike, but something more pedalable (not a word...yet) like a "freeride" or "big hit" bike.

Cheers,

Sean
