...the trail, not me, that is. Somewhat tacky here and there, but otherwise good old Lebanon - without bugs!

Can't wait for the "new, new" section to officially open. Looked like there had been a poacher or two based on the appearance of the brush blocked entrance to this area.

Thanks again MORC for great work.

Yes.. a great trail - no bugs! You almost can't ask for anything more than that.

The new xx loop will be open toward the end of May (we hope) - the more we get out to help, the sooner it will become a reality.

We're still hoping to do some really cool things. Teeters, elevated sections, even a few jumps! With all the trail work planned for this year, we're going to need all the guys we can get at each and every trail event in order to pull all this off.

Now get out there and ride.. ride.. RIDE!!! :D

Yeah! The trail's in excellent shape. The tackiness in places is actually good, too, provides for nice traction. Where is the new XX loop? I guess I wasn't looking for it yesterday. Oh well, I'll find out more about that Tuesday if I *actually* help out with trail building ;). It does get tough to spend time working on the trails when you could spend the time *riding* the trails!

Is there a good map of the Lebannon trails somewhere I could get my hands on?

There aren't any real quality maps of Lebanon - that kind of frustrates me. Even the map in the parking lot shows the ENTIRE park, with the mountain bike section as this little postage stamp area.

There is a separate thread here in the Lebanon Hills forum that says something like "Mapping Lebanon" - I went out and did some GPS work, then tried to apply that data over the top of a larger topo map that we have from Dakota County.

It ended up looking rather messy.. but, it is about the most accurate picture of the trails so far. It does have the new xx loop in it, but does not yet have the beginner trail. It can be confusing because it also has some of the "optional" sections shown.

Perhaps someone with some map skills would like to do up a cool map of the park sometime?

...towards the end of the current X loop, right after the last log crossing before that section begins its descent back down to the double track.

It is on the left hand side. Highly visible with orange fencing and a lot of brush pulled over it to tell you to stay out. Now that I told you, do not go out and ride it until MORC officially opens it.

Looking forward to the grand opening.
