This is a new forum here on the MORC website. For those who don't know me, I am Hans Erdman, and I am the Regional Representitive of the National Mountain Bike Patrol (NMBP) in Minnesota, Wisconsin and North and South Dakota. (I've also offered to help out Midwest Rep Gregg Smith with "da U.P." but that's another story.) I'm one of the co-founders of Minnesota's North-Central Mountain Bike Patrol, (NCMBP) and the current chair of the NCMBP Board.
I am a Wilderness-EMT, and patrol at Elm Creek Park Reserve, and in the Superior and Chippewa National Forests, and work a number of the major events that the patrol is at. I am also an Instructor/Trainer for NMBP.
This forum is about "Bein' safe and behavin'" on your bike. Any questions, comments, suggestions, or rants about bike safety, the all-volunteer National Mountain Bike Patrol, all are appropriate here. Interested in joining NCMBP or the Brainerd Lakes MTB Patrol, or the new patrols in Cable, Lutsen and Giants' Ridge? This is the place to ask! Want to start a new patrol in a different place, say Duluth or Winona? (Hint, hint) Here again. I hope you will take part, and I look forward to seeing you on the trails!
