Salem Trail Work -- Wednesday August 18

Trail work

A trail work session will occur Wednesday, August 18. We will start by triming the trail this week. Starts at 6 PM. Any and all interested should meet in the parking lot.


We are in short supply of loppers and hand saws. (my bad) If anyone has some (-- especially MORC tools) that they can bring along, please post up. Otherwise, we are going to have to scramble.

I am in possession of 'manual labor' and some 'man hours' that I can donate, but no tools.

Will there be riding afterwords? Just be straight with me. I can handle it.:cheesy:

Still working the tool issue. Feel free to ride before, during or after the trail work session.

I'll be taking a spin early afternoon and might be convinced to ride a night lap.

Very productive trail work session tonight. We trimmed most of the B loop or Pond loop, and part of the A loop or Sawmill loop.

Removed one fallen tree with a handsaw and the three of us taking turns. Huge thank you to Rob and Travis for their time tonight. You guys are awesome.

Hows the trail looking? I'm going to bring my 6yr old to the metro trails on Sat. (rain tomorrow I guess?) and it will be his first time on some singletrack... this seems like the place. I'm going to wrap pillows around him... so if you see a pillow riding a bike thats us. :D
