Noob Question

I was wondering since this is a new trail in all when this is going to be open, or is it all ready? I would love to go to some where new by my house.

I think the trail is in great need of volunteers to finish construction. If you live close and you are able I highly recommended getting involved with some trailwork. You can see the trailwork threads in this general area. I guarantee you will will feel a major connection with the trail each time you ride it of you help build it. Get all of your riding buddies to help out too. Spread the word and the trail will be open before you know it.

We (Reed, Porter and I) were just out there tonight doing some more flagging. They are making good progress, but always looking for more volunteers. Wednesday is their main work night.

I think the plan is to have about 2~3 miles finished this year. Scaled back slightly from original estimates but still a lot of trail for the first year of a brand new project.

Reed or Porter can give better detail of the plans.

Thanks for inquiring about the Carver Lake Park trail. We will be making a big push this month to get a lot of trail finished. New volunteers are always welcomed to help with the build. Swing by on Wednesday nights at 6pm. We meet at the main parking lot and head into the trail from there. The next few trail sessions will be finishing work on sections of the trail that have been recently cut in by machine. The more help we get the faster we will have a new trail to ride.
