The Salsa 24 is fast approaching! They would like our help again this year. It starts Friday August 27 with a downhill race and the the 8 and 24 hr race starts Saturday at 10:00 am. If you can help out for any of this it would be appreciated. I have plans to be in cable this weekend, so if anyone can step up and help out that would be great. For event info click here. hans, i always have my gear on me. there is a patrol patch on my camelback. What would i need to do to be official?

Wear your jersey, put your spare front plate on your dashboard for the FPOs (Forest Protection Officers) to see, and keep track of your hours.

Shoot me an e-mail with where you plan to ride, and I will let the appropriate people (Ron for CAMBA and the rangers/FPOs for USFS) know you'll be there. Also, let me know if you want to stay at Namakagon USFS campground. We get free use of the non-reservable spaces there.

bump... If anyone decides to patrol last minute, check in with the ski patrol and get a radio from them. We will be working along side them. Please let me know if you will be there.

I emailed you (Drew) and Hans to see where I am needed most this weekend. So far I've heard of zero patrollers working either Afton or the duathlon.

Have fun in Cable. I've only made it up there once this year and can't wait to ride there again.

Mara, i didn't get a message from you... I think Hans has a few for the duathalon, Shad and Porter are racing afton and will have their gear. The ski patrol will be at Afton, and coordinating the event... See what Hans says and let me know!

Sorry -- my email has been acting up as of late. Hans said he could definitely use me and would email tonight. If the ski patrol can cover, maybe working the du is best?

I'll leave it up to you two and just go where I'm told. :)
