We are working on Section 6, our advanced loop. We are behind schedule due to so much rain this spring and summer. We need as many volunteers as we can get to help us get this project finished.
Bring good trailwork clothes and shoes, bug spray, plenty of water, and a lot of energy.
Meet at the Par 3 lot at 5pm. If you can't make it by 5, come find us on the trail.
In addition to all the usual suspects, we were lucky enough to have Justin and Shawn join us tonight for some boulder moving fun.
Thanks and more thanks to everyone who showed up. We had a great turnout and y'all worked *hard* in hot, buggy condtions.
Bananas all around! You rock!:crazybanana::banana::crazybanana::banana:

Rock moving? Now I really feel bad that I flaked out last night (errands/family stuff took way too long for me to get there.)

You missed a good session, but we'll be playing with rocks for a while and look forward to using the heck out of you when we can.

How long is this new stretch going to be? Is it really advanced as in XX type?

There are two halves, a south and north, that together will likely total less than a mile of trail. It will be significantly more advanced than the rest of the trail and as challenging as the land manager will allow.
Keeping in mind the small footprint and lack of elevation in Theo, you can expect rocky up and downhills, jumps, and wooden structures in the loop we're currently building. We also have a nifty rock causeway bridge.
