I haven't been out to the park lately, so does anyone have any projects in mind to work on this week?

I'll be there at 5:00 with my Loppers... I'm assuming it still needs some trimming.

Let's meet at the Rec Center. Time permitting, I would like to check out the possiblity of converting the wall of death into a technical climb.
The direct route from BC Road to Wall of Death is pretty overgrown and in need of trimming. Unfortunately I don't think I'm going to be able to make work tonight.

I can help, but I don't have any power tools other than a chain saw and we really need some trimming equipment. I tried hacking away at that stuff with a machette a couple weeks ago and I'm not doing that again.
I was out there twice this weekend and here are my random notes. Of course there was another serious rain storm yesterday afternoon, that may have changed some things.
- Goat trail is real nice, thanks to Mike and Nick for all their work on that! Goat trail pass and fern gully could still use some trimming back. Same for Picnic Table Loop.
- I didn't notice anything wrong with Luge other than I hate those jumps that have been built into it. This may be a factor of my skill level, but they have very abrupt faces that cause the front end to dive when the back of a suspended bike hits it. The guys who ride hard tails may think they are just fine, but the one at the bottom has endoed me twice.
- As a person who rides there almost daily I'd like to eventually see some directional designations. This is personal opinion and I suspect I'm in for an argument, but I keep running into people going the opposite direction, and when the trails are overgrown like they tend to be this year that's really dangerous. I've taken to yelling before I go around corners hoping if there's someone on the other side they'll hear me. Not that a directional sign will create a force field to prevent anyone from riding the wrong way but it would possibly reduce the probability of collision.

MORC has motorized trimmers. Hopefully they are being deployed to these areas requiring trimming. We've been active at Leb and Murph trying to trim all our trails. I know BC has a trimmer just for those activities.

It was good to meet you as I came off the trails last night, Shawn. For the record, I was describing the Wall of Death to you, I guess. I thought I was talking about the Luge but I'm not really sure where that is...
