I will be having a Skills Clinic at Theo on June 10th starting at 6pm. Meet at the Par 3 lot with bike in hand.

We will go over some basic skills before we hit the trail and try them out first hand.

- Basic bike setup
- Body and pedal position
- Braking
- Cornering
- Lifting and/or unweighting the front wheel for obstacles

These are the main topics and some tips will be given while on the trail.

This is open to all riders, men and women, above the age of 18. A waiver will be signed and a helmet is required. It's also a good idea to have a well tuned bicycle with good working brakes and if your bike shifts (non-singlespeed) make sure the gears work well.

PM me if you plan on attending.

Isn't this over lapping with demo day?

Hey, if someone can demo a bike while they learn some skills.....more power to them.

Bringing more people over to an already crowded and small trail? ;)

Most of the skills session isn't even done on the trail. We do a lap after doing the skills session to practice what we learned. Likely, just the south loop. So I don't think it will be an issue.

Weather is iffy. If we don't get any rain overnight or tomorrow during the day, the skill session is still a go. Keep an eye on the Theo trail conditions thread. If the trails are closed due to rain, this skill session will have to be rescheduled to another date.

We are about 30 - 60 minute away from getting hit by some major rain. The skills session is cancelled simply due to the fact that Theo will be closed and anywhere we try practicing will be too wet and muddy, so better to reschedule and do it up right.

The storm broke up.......didn't look like it was going to. So it's likely I will still hold the skills session. I will be checking the trails before 4 and post up if it's a go or not.

The Skills session is a go. We will meet at the par 3 lot and we will go over the basics up in the prairie, then we will likely do a lap stopping along the way to discuss how to tackle certain areas of the trails.
