Crested Butte rocks! If you haven't been to CB, you've got to go. There is some excellent riding there and the city is very cool.

Get ready to ride at altitude! A lot of the trails rim the tops of the mountains - above 10,000 ft. Hell, Mt. Crested Butte is up around 9,500 ft. and that is the starting point for a lot of the _intermediate_ trails.

Speaking of which, you should plan on going after July, because before then a few of the really great trails could still be closed. Late July is a great time, it's very scenic, the mountain sides are covered with wild flowers - which alone justifies a wild flower festival.

I've gone the past couple of years, and have ridden the majority of the trails. If you have any questions, let me know.
