Hey everyone! I'm going to be in the Moose Lake area next weekend, and I want to ride some new trails. I've never ridden any trails outside the Twin Cities metro area. Some of the trails don't have any info. in the "trail guide" section, so I thought I'd let you folks tell me where I should ride. I'm willing to go to Duluth for some great riding, are there any other awesome trails around?

Thanks guys, I will have to check out one of the Duluth area trails for sure. Or if the weather is good I might even be able to try two of them :D. Are there any good ones closer to Moose Lake, or is Duluth the place to be? Just curious...want to make the most of the weekend!

Legion Trails in Rapids are good, but the drive from Moose Lake to Duluth is shorter, subject to construction from Thompson Hill down the Lake...could make for huge traffic disruptions for the next couple of years...

There are alot of ways to avoid the I35 construction zone.....Midway road across town to Lester or Hartley -OR- Spirit Mountain exit to Boundary Ave thru Proctor to Skyline to Piedmont for example.........here is a link to a great Duluth area street map:

And the drive along West Skyline Parkway is beautiful to boot and allows you to enter Piedmont with a GREAT uphill entrance to get your heart roaring!:D

grand rapids would be a bit of a drive from duluth, we are now at about five miles of single track and counting! we do trail work on thursday nights. Trail head is at the Reif Center Parking lot, it is shared with the Legion Cross Country Ski trail entrance.
