I will be going to the trail to look in the tool shed and to trim up the beginning of the trail. It will be a short session. Meet in the parking lot off of Burnsville Parkway by the hockey rink. I have a yellow Xterra. Meeting time is 6 pm.

I'm in for a short session. Because of the possible rain coming I really wanted to ride a couple laps tonight, but if it's a short session I'd love to help out since that will leave time for riding.
I've never helped out with trail work. What should I know before showing up?

Wear long pants and bring gloves and water. Since it will be a short session a snack might not be needed but if you plan to ride I would bring one incase. Bug spray always helps too. Tools are already at the trail head.

We will be heading in as you would if you were riding the trail. That area seemed to be the most over grown. Besides trimming there might be a few deberming areas. We will probably make it to the ski trail crossing. If we have time we can go farther. We will also be looking at areas that might need small bridges to protect the tree roots. If Jeff is there tonight he can better explain the situation with that.

Sorry I didn't make it today. A long day at work turned into a nap on the couch with me waking up near 7:00. Hope to help out next time.

Totally missed the notification. Can make future trail work if more notice is given.
I saw the drainage work done and the bottom of slopes at the corners. Looked good.
There's a real nasty tree section that looks like it will fall onto the trail soon. It's at the very top hill of the "Hollow" switchback. It's just being held back by branches -- looks like it could make for a dangerous situation if it falls onto someone. I'll take a closer look tomorrow.

Thanks all for coming out. Thanks Saundra for taking on the Dirt Boss role.
