We'll need some more facts:
Are you paying attention?
Do you slow down at intersections or just race thru oblivious?

Mountain Bikers must yield at all Luce Line and Ski Trail crossings. They actually installed stop signs at the Luce Line crossings for mountain bikers.

So if you t-bone someone, you are at fault! Period!

Our next task will be to install features at the crossings to force riders to slow down. Also, we will make them in such a way to keep Luce Line users from wandering onto a mountain bike trail on their 700c hybrid bike. There are "Do Not Enter" signs so prevent people from entering the wrong way at the crossings.

So....next task will be to install features at the crossings to force riders to slow down and to keep hybriders of the highbridge. This sounds to me like a high bridges over these crossings.... with technical features to built in.
Rock garden entry or swing bridge or whoopty bridge or off camber bridge........whooooot

Not sure if this is what Rybac had in mind but hey....bridges would be cool and accent the park too.

Just curious, about how many times does the trail cross the Luce line?

Only twice. Pretty good visibility both times, too. Honestly, it wasn't really a big deal. You'd have to be pretty zoned out to forget about the crossings, or not think to look.

Regardless, though, the features on both sides will be a great addition...keeping us in and "them" out.

Can we start planning a bridge or tunnel around this intersection, like now?

2 crossings. One not too long after the start of the trail and one near the end (used to just cross the ski trail) before you go down the quick hill and over the table top jump.

Of course now the main entrance is right off of the Luce Line....rather than the old gravel service road.
