We have 0 reports of mountain biker and skier conflicts. It took MOCA a long time to become an accepted organization by the community and mostly the XC Skiers. At first, they felt we were moving into their territory. Now....the Loppet organization is holding bicycle ice races as part of their race weekend and allowing the Bike Patrol to ski/bike the COLL.
In the last year and especially last weekend, MOCA has done a lot more negotiations and work with the XC Ski group than ever before. This is still a growing relationship and it is a very important one. Thanks to all the mountain bikers who help us with keeping a great image.
Now to add the sucky weather part....at the end...;)
Looking at the forecast, it looks like some very warm temps for next weekend again. We already have some areas the have melted on the south facing hillsides, which means as soon as it's sunny or close to 32 degrees, those areas will become muddy. Please do not ride any of the trails when it's mid to upper 20's and sunny or above 30 on a cloudy day. At least not until we get another significant snowfall. Thanks!
