- Riders must yield to skiers at the ski crossings. Please be careful, slow down or stop at all crossings and make sure a skier is not coming.
- Do not ride on any groomed ski trails. Not even to make an early exit or to ride to a particular section of trail.
- Always cross the ski trails at 90 degrees. This is the least impact we can make to the groomed trails and is hardly noticeable while on skis.
It is important that bikers play nice with skiers.
Trail care:
- Please do not ride when it's warm and slushy out.
- Snow shoeing is a good and fun way to pack the trail, but it takes a lot of passes. I see some people have already been doing this....cool!
- Please stay on the trail as best as you can. We don't want to widen the trail in any areas........keep singletrack single.....:)
- Please observe trail conditions here and on the MOCA Website at www.mocatrails.org.
Have fun riding in the snow!!

We can ride the crossings, though, correct, so long as we do them at 90 degrees? That is how I believe we have done it in the past, but want to make sure assumptions haven't changed....There are only the 3 crossings aren't there?

You are correct. With more winter riding and more new winter riders unfamiliar with the winter interactions at Wirth, we're just trying to prevent potential carnage or bad feelings between user groups.
To date, we've had a couple close calls but no complaints on either side. That's a trend I'd love to see continue.

Hmm, no complaints, but you have heard of them. It wasn't you, was it?

Would you believe no formal complaints and a decent re-education, amends-making campaign?
It's always me.

I was implying that it was you that were causing the close calls, since there hadn't been any formal complaints, yet you know about the close calls, so you must have been close to the incidents, so it must have been you causing the incident, or your riding partner.
Yep, it is always you!!

I assumed you were talking about that time when Shad was skiing the trails and I was racing through singletrack on my mountain bike for the t-bone derby . . . :D

I was out the other day and yielded to a skier, he thanked me, passed the intersection point, and then stopped to ask me about my studded tires.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

The conversation carried on about how studded tires would help him commute on the icy roads. I hope he checks into it.
