Thanks goes out to Neil for letting me know this bit of info.
We will still use the Par 3 lot for meeting for trailwork, we have not been parking there anyway. But for those who have a permit and park there, you will have to wait until XC Skiing starts up before they reopen the gate.

They do this every year to keep people off the golf course. They probably do it so people don't ruin it. You know golfing on wet trails.. I mean courses.

It is an interesting day when golfers provide a good example to mountain bikers about not poaching wet terrain :p

Coming from a golfing background I assure you that taking carts onto a wet course is a huge "no-no" as is not repairing divots in the fairways and ball marks on the greens. Just like w/ the trails time spent repairing damage from jerk-offs is time not spent improving the course...

This is where community and respect for others comes into play. If you go out and do some damage, then it's a good idea to be involved in the process that repairs that damage, whatever that may be for the given sport. By being involved in repairing that damage, you learn to do what you can to not cause the damage in the first place so it's less work and more play. More play can be equated to more and improved trails and features.
Not sure if I would call them jerk-offs. More like just not understanding the duties needed to maintain the community of the sport they love.
