I was wondering if anyone has experience with the trek 69er 3x9. i really like how it felt but i'm not sure how it would preform on the trail. I am looking at afew other options to but i would like some input.

I'm not familiar with the 69ers, but the concept makes sense. It gives you the big front wheel to float over the garbage, but allows a shorter chainstay.

Honestly, if you are looking for a bigger wheels that will help you get over things, I would just go to a full on 29er. I think Trek created the 69er just so they could call a bike a 69er......

If done right, bike companies can create a shorter chainstay on a 29er.

Check out Niner, Surly Karate Monkey, Salsa 29ers, Redline Monocog 29er.....they all handle quite well in my book.

2007 medium framed Raleigh XXIX-G... Its a great bike, floats over rocks and logs like butter :-)...

$800obo or a trade for a 26 thats comparable in value
