We will be finishing up the rock armor in section 3. Yep, those big block Steef made us carry up the hill last week. So at least that part is done....now we just need to install them. If we get that done we will be working on another armor project in sect 2.
We have applied for the permit to begin work on the new Sect 6. It should be approved soon, I hope, and we will start doing some work over there in the next week or two. We do have some maintenance to continue and finish on the existing trail. So the more help we get, the more we can get done in 6.
Thanks a ton to our solid volunteer group! We have had a great turnout of trailworkers this year. You all rock!!

i got my hand caught in a cutoff saw at work. after surgeries, recovery and physical therapy i may be well enough to ride in a couple months.... just in time for winter. doh. the very talented surgeons at regions were able to save everything except for my index finger which is now about 1/2 in long. i am in a cast while the tendons in my middle finger that were severed heal, as well as a pin holding a bone in my thumb together. i may get lucky enough to grow my thumbnail back, and regain full sensation and mobility of the middle finger.
also very very lucky is that the entire medical expense as well as lost time at work is covered under workmans comp insurance, so i will have no financial hardship due to the injury, and some kind of permanent disability payment after all is settled, which i may use as a down payment for a house, or i may go back to college.
my girlfriend, family and friends have been very supportive, as well as the people from my workplace, and i am recovering very quickly. i am off the hardcore pain meds, so i can drive again, and i was able to dress and bathe myself after only a few days. i am already surprising people with the things i can do with only my left hand, and i will have the cast off in 3 weeks to figure out how to get the right one working again.
ill see you guys out there once i can use my hand with any force, and have the sram thumbshifters installed on the haro.
